Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Dinero Technologies Private Limited ("ChatOps", "we") collects when you use ChatOps, a service that helps businesses manage customer conversations on WhatsApp, Instagram and web chat with the help of AI. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.

Two kinds of data, two roles

  • Your account data. When you or your team sign up, we decide how that data is used and we are responsible for it.
  • Your customers' data. Messages, contacts, orders and bookings from the people your business talks to belong to your business. We process them only to run the service for you and on your instructions. Your business is responsible for having the right to collect them and for telling its customers how they are used.

What we collect

DataWhy
Name, email, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), workspace name and roleTo create and secure your account and workspace
Messages, voice notes, photos and documents your customers send, and your repliesTo show your inbox, draft replies and carry out the actions you approve
Customer contact details: phone number, name, email, social handles, tags and notesTo keep one history per customer across channels
Orders, bookings, payment status and delivery status from services you connectTo answer order questions and send updates you enable
Access tokens and API keys for services you connectTo act on your behalf in those services. They are encrypted at rest and never shown back in the browser.
Usage records: messages sent, AI actions, errorsTo bill you correctly, enforce plan limits and keep the service reliable

We do not store card numbers. Payments are handled by Razorpay. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and the only cookies we set are the ones that keep you signed in and protect sign-in with connected services.

How AI is used

To draft replies, classify messages, transcribe voice notes and describe photos, the relevant conversation content is sent to an AI model provider. By default that is our provider; if your workspace connects its own provider, it is sent there instead. We do not use your or your customers' data to train AI models, and our default provider does not train on data sent through its API. If your workspace connects its own provider, that provider's terms apply. AI output can be wrong, which is why the service lets you review replies and requires approval for sensitive actions.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the services needed to run ChatOps, and with those you choose to connect:

  • Supabase, for our database and sign-in, and Vercel, for hosting
  • Inngest, for running scheduled and background work
  • AI model providers such as Groq, or the provider your workspace connects, for the AI features above
  • Meta, to send and receive WhatsApp and Instagram messages
  • Razorpay, for our own billing and, with your own account, your customers' payment links
  • Services you connect, such as Shopify, Shiprocket, Google Business Profile and Telegram

We do not sell personal data. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it. Some providers process data outside India; we use them under contracts that require them to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to close your workspace, we delete its data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as invoices. Your business decides how long to keep its customers' conversations and can delete them at any time. To ask for your workspace to be closed, write to ameydesigns@gmail.com.

How we protect it

Every workspace's data is isolated at the database level. Credentials for connected services are encrypted. Webhooks from connected services are verified before we accept them, and access within a workspace is limited by role.

Personal data breaches

If personal data we hold is accessed, disclosed or lost in a way it should not have been, we will tell the Data Protection Board of India and every affected person without undue delay, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act requires. For your customers' data, we tell the business that controls it and help it inform its customers, with what happened, what was affected and what we have done about it.

Children

ChatOps is a tool for businesses and is not meant for personal use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. A business using ChatOps may receive messages from children among its customers; it is responsible for handling them as the law requires, and we process such messages only on its instructions. If you believe a child has created an account, write to ameydesigns@gmail.com and we will remove it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Write to ameydesigns@gmail.com. If you are a customer of a business that uses ChatOps, please contact that business first, since it controls your data; we will help it respond. To remove data received through Meta, see data deletion.

Grievance Officer

Complaints about how personal data is handled go to our Grievance Officer at ameydesigns@gmail.com. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell account owners by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
